Instructors with a wide range of backgrounds:
Mary has been teaching First Aid and Wilderness First Aid with Medglobe for 12 years. Mary is also certified to teach CPR, AED and oxygen administration.
Mary holds a Recreation Diploma from Humber College. She has worked for 30 years in the aquatics field, both as a lifeguard and instructor for participants of all ages.
Mary’s outdoor experience includes years of backcountry travel, as well as maintaining certification for 17 years through ORCKA as a Flatwater Instructor and certification in Canoe Tripping.
Mary has volunteered for 40 years with Girl Guides of Canada and has held many positions ranging from unit leader, Waterfront Director for an International Camp with 3000 girls in attendance to being one of a few select Water Activity Advisors who review and approve water-related activities for risk management considerations with Girl Guides in Ontario.
